How do I know if I qualify for financial assistance?

Although some people thought the ACA meant that health insurance would be free in 2014, that is not the case. However, depending on your income, you may be able to get help paying for your health insurance costs.

You can use an online financial calculator to determine if you will be eligible for financial assistance for your health insurance. The calculations are based on the Federal Poverty Level (FPL) and assistance is available for individuals and families whose household income is up to 400 percent of the FPL.
